Andrea Bolzoni, electric guitari
Andrea Bolzoni (1985) is a guitarist involved in jazz, improvisation and computer music.
He was trained as a jazz guitarist, studied improvisation with Alberto Braida and Stefano Battaglia, and attended workshops with the School for Improvisational Music in New York and Oslo and with the Dutch Impro Academy in Amsterdam. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Electroacoustic Composition from the Milan Conservatory, Italy, and is currently a postgraduate researcher in Artificial Intelligence and Music Creativity at The Open University in Milton Keynes, UK.
Andrea is member and co-founder of Raw Frame and Swedish Mobilia, with whom he published recordings with Leo Records, Auand, Naked Tapes and dEN, and performed in clubs and festivals in Italy, France and eastern Europe. He also took part in Hellenic Alley (Setola di Maiale), Dialvogue (Setola di Maiale, Bunch), Consulting the Oracle (Bunch), as well as releasing a solo album in 2015, “amI?” (Bunch). He plays with Francesco Zago in the duo BolZago.
Some of his electroacoustic compositions have been performed at the Sound and Music Computing Conference, New York Electroacoustic Music Festival, and Festival Artescienza.
